To you, this phrase probably evokes images of a track meet, with everyone gathering at the starting line and eagerly awaiting the “pop” of the starters’ pistol. To me, though, this phrase sums up my life right about now!
After months of writing, editing — and, at times, hair pulling — Diamond Geezer is finally ready for readers. In fact, the very first chapter is available for you to read right now!
As you might expect, I’m currently experiencing a jumble of emotions. I’m thrilled that you’re finally getting a glimpse at what I’ve been working so hard on. I’m relieved that the work is finally done (although, I’m about to start on the third installment of my Taylor family trilogy, so I don’t get to sit around and relax for very long!). I’m also sitting on pins and needles waiting to hear what all of you think.
Above all else, this book is a gift to you, and I’m so excited for you to start “unwrapping” it! You’ve all been there for me through the entire writing process, and for that, I will be forever grateful. You’ve been quite the inspiration!
Now, I’m turning Diamond Geezer over to you, and I want to know exactly what you think of it. Don’t hold back — I want to know what makes you laugh, what makes you cry, and what makes you gasp out in surprise. (And, yes, I want to know if there’s anything you didn’t like. Don’t worry, I can handle criticism!)
So, without further ado… I present Diamond Geezer. Go check it out!
