I got such a rush from creating my bucket list last week (or “hovis” as I call it), that I wanted to share that great feeling with you! If you haven’t created a list of your own, you’re really missing out.
But how do you get started?
That’s the tricky part! After all, there is an endless array of adventures and goals to choose from. How do you narrow them all down and create a list that suits YOU?
- Think of your “somedays”
We all have them, like “Someday, I’d like to see the Great Wall of China,” or “Someday, I’d like to start my own business.” Instead of dreaming about these things, put them on your list and actually move towards doing them!
- Envision today as your last
If today was your last day on earth, what would you do? Maybe you’d do something daring – like skydiving. Or, maybe you’d opt for something simpler – like setting up a hammock in your backyard and enjoying the sunlight. Whatever you would do, put it on the list!
- Become your own travel agent
Everyone has places they want to visit. What are yours? Do you dream of seeing koala bears in Australia, or shopping in an authentic Middle Eastern souk? Wherever you want to go, put it on the list!
- Imagine bettering yourself
Is there a certain skill you’ve always wanted to learn – like building your own furniture or baking the perfect soufflé? Add those activities to the list!
- Tap into the power of family and friends
You’d be amazed at what you come up with during a conversation with the people you love most. You might remember goals that you had forgotten about long ago!
Once you start your list, it will be easy to add dozens of things to it. The key, though, is BEGINNING. When you pull out a piece of paper and start writing, you’ll finally start taking action – which is a reward in and of itself!
Here’s some ideas to get you started:
1. Coal /fire walking
2. Go Jet ski-ing
3. Go rock climbing
4. See the Northern lights
5. Eat pizza in Italy
6. Write a bestseller
7. Go bare back horse riding
8. Go for a camel ride
9. Swim with dolphins
10. Visit Eurodisney
11. Meet some one famous
13. Attend a least 2 self improvement seminars
