Even though the last few weeks have been unpredictable and filled with chaos, I’m moving forward. After working hard to organise and motivate myself, I am finally back in “Writing Mode”.
As part of my organisational efforts, I have created a daily schedule for myself. I wake up at 6 AM every morning, and I’ve scheduled everything that happens afterwards — from my dog walks, to my cups of coffee, to my meals, to time with my teenage son. That way, I can make sure EVERYTHING (even the littlest things) gets done every day.
Even though I’ve got the “little things” sorted out on my To Do list, most of my focus is on one very big thing — finishing my book. Right now, I’m working on the final stages of Diamond Geezer, the sequel to Dangerous. Once I get everything the way I want it, I’ll be able to cross this book off my To Do list. And, trust me, there will be a giant sigh of relief when it’s all done!
Until then, though, I’ll be going through the nitty gritty of the book. Things like cutting chunks out, adding other bits, and changing sentences around may not seem all that exciting, but they’re crucial to creating the perfect finished product. Bet you never thought there were so many “little things” that went into writing a book! To be honest, neither did I until I actually became a writer!
So, as excited as I am to cross this very big thing off my To Do list, I’m also excited to tackle all of the “little things”. After everything I’ve been through, I’m not taking any “little things” for granted!
