Last time we spoke, I told you I was heading off on a “working holiday” of sorts. My goal was to do some writing in a new place and come back relaxed and refreshed — and that’s exactly what happened! The entire trip was a huge success, but there was one night that stood head and shoulders above the rest — the night that I spent at the Music Hall Tavern Show.
The cast has been creating a one-of-a-kind experience for audiences for more than 20 years in the Canaries, and they’re finally doing a major UK and Ireland tour. I don’t want to spoil the show for any of you who may see it, but I can tell you that watching this show was the funniest night I’ve had in a long time. All of the fun, frolics, and frocks gave me more belly laughs than I can count! It was definitely a night that I will never forget.
Amazingly, though, the show was also very inspirational. Mrs. T and the rest of the cast shared stories about how they got to where they are today, and I couldn’t help but think of my own dreams. I think everyone in the audience went home believing that you can make ANY dream come true. This quote from Paul Carroll, stood out for me, “Never stop your dreams, without them there is nothing to live for. Set your goals and never stop still they are achieved. Remember that the level of success is set by you, so live it, feel it, love it, and enjoy every single minute of it.”
Best of all, the Music Hall Tavern Show has raised a whopping 22,000 Euros for Macmillian nurses. Talk about an amazing inspiration! I couldn’t ask for anything more from a night out!
